CDL Major 3 Week 1: Day 1 Qualifier Recap

Major 3 Weeks 1 Rundown has been here since the first day of the qualifiers.

The Call of Duty League resumed after the most recent Pro-Am Classic where the New York Subliners came out on top with a stunning victory. OpTic Texas also did extremely well with general subbing for iLLeY, however for Major 3 we see ProLute replacing General on OpTic’s initial roster.

Tonight’s Major 3 qualifiers hit the road to Toronto and Canada’s first major call of duty event. Here is a summary of each map and all the results.

LA Chor 3-0 London Royal Ravens

Last week, the LA Thieves reached the grand finale of the CDL Pro-Am and began their top 3 qualifying rounds with a map victory. The Tigers took the Gavutu Hardpoint 250-214 as Envoy got full streaks and the LA Tigers dominated the first rotation to gain a crucial lead. The London Royal Ravens tried to make a comeback, but the Thieves stopped it and easily closed the final hill to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Tigers searched and destroyed Berlin 6-4 to take a 2-0 lead in the series. He was opposed to everything the Royal Ravens did in this match, and the European team did not advance to the 11th round. After Pro-Am, LA thieves look great and move on to Berlin. Take control to win the series 3-0.

The series ended 3-0 after a 3-1 control victory for the LA Thieves over Berlin. Kenny clocked 1.35 K / D on the map, and Envoy dominated the entire series by 1.27 K / D. Thieves have continued their pro-am success and have tried to get a higher position on Major 3.

Optic Texas 3-0 Los Angeles Guerrilla

OpTic Texas got a good run by General with Pro-Am Classic and they have brought Prolute for this matchup. Prolette made their debut in the Call of Duty League with a victory over Boquez, and while they were close, Optic was always in control. He put 38 kills on the map to give Optic a 1-0 lead in the series as the scum was frying and the coms were flowing.

OpTic extended their lead with a 6-3 Berlin Search and Destroy victory led by Dashy and Prolute’s AR duo. Both players dominated the map with 8 kills and long picks to take a 2-0 lead in the series. The second of the night came after a 3-0 victory over the Berlin Control 3-1. The final round came very close, but after a strong break, OpTic won the map. Dashi made 25 kills here as OpTic continued their performance from the Pro-Am Classic, with a brand new player.

Atlanta FaZe 3-1 New York Subliners

The New York Subliners are trailing Chip in the Pro-Am and they started the series with a spectacular victory over Berlin Hardpoint 250-229. Ahead of their Pro-Am victory, the Subliners looked great as they got the streaks and tied the hills together to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Atlanta FaZe returned to Map Two in 11 rounds to win the Berlin Search and Destroy 6-5, tying the series 1-1. After going down 4-1, Atlanta Faze came back and took the map, giving them a 3-1 control over Gavutu to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Atlanta Faze closed the series with a 250-225 victory over Tuscany. Abezey dominated the map here with 40 kills, while Selium recorded a total of 1.30 K / D in the series, which is what we expect from him.
