Halo Infinite Season 2 is starting now, with a new Battle Pass

The Halo Infinite Season 2 release date has finally arrived, which means it’s time to dig into the new Lone Wolves Battle Pass and new game modes. The free-to-play game in Season 2 includes new maps, new game modes, new events, and new narrative and themed events.

Season 2 features two Lone Wolves narrative events, both of which last two weeks. The first is called Intervention, and lasts from May 3-15. The second, the Alpha Pack, runs July 19 – August 1. During both events, you’ll be able to complete event challenges by playing the new Last Spartan Standing mode, the new Big Team battle map, on Breaker.

However, in addition to special events, there is another 100-level Premium Battle Pass. If you buy the Premium Pass, there are about 180 prizes to collect as you rank it up – but there are free prizes for players who choose not to purchase. Season 2 will also include a new Fracture event called Entrenched, which will provide multiple opportunities to complete additional event challenges and earn another set of cosmetic items.

Here is the Season 2 trailer:

The new Last Spartan Standing free-for-all mode pits 12 Spartans against each other, each with five responses. Players get a predetermined loadout, but scoring points will allow you to power it. However, as in battle royale games, the playing area becomes progressively smaller during the match.

During Interference and Alpha Pack limited time events, Last Spartan Standing will take place on the new Breaker BTB map. However, among those events, you’ll be able to play Last Spartan Standing in regular matchmaking and custom games as well.

It’s worth noting that if you own the Premium Battle Pass for Season 1, you can freely switch between that and the Season 2 Battle Pass depending on which one you want to work on. This only applies to Premium Passes, however – free passes expire at the end of their respective seasons.
